Which one would be better the gskill 2133 cas 10 or the gskill 1866 cas 9? Build: I74790k cpu, asus m7 hero mobo.

The 2133/10 will give slightly better performance than the 1866/9, a little, not earthshattering, 2133/9 would be moreso

Oh okay. Because I saw an equation cas/frequency x 1000= speed in nanoseconds. And the 2133 was faster by a few tenths. The 2133 is like $131 at Outlet pc and the 1866 is $135 at Newegg. So if there is a slight edge in favor of the 2133 and its cheaper it seems like its a no brainer to go with it.

I got his warning as I was changing things on pcpartpicker " The G.Skill Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.6V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum."

Isnt that a simple fix by going into the bios and changing the voltage? Couldnt the cpu take a .15 more volts and be fine?

although realistically 2133/10 will give better performance. but you won't notice it to the naked eye

1.6 or 1.65 is perfectly fine - in fact you'll find few sets of 2133 and up that are 1.6 or lower. Also Intel certifies 1.65 sets - the 1.5 is a recommendation for 1600 sticks

OH wow those 2400 are even cheaper and slightly fast. So running at 1.6-1.65 is still within threshold of my i7 4790k cpu and my asus maximus 7 hero motherboard?

They were making these before others got going into 2400 and up and built up a stockpile, I got my first set of Trident X 2400 in early 2012
