I just purchases a Motorola SURFboard SB6141 and a LInksys AC1200+.
My g/f and DO NOT use wireless and only have 2 pcs hardwired in besides our phones.
My question is should I have purchased a better router/modem? My ping has been outrageous lately and all we do is watch twitch and game online. I understand we are getting throttled by our isp but could the problem be our gears isnt up to par?
My isp is Comcast and I have the blast package that averages about:
Ping: 10-30
Down: pay for up to 60mbs usually get about 40... -___-
UP:10-12mbs
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!!
