i believe my motherboard only supports two fan slots. 1 for CPU 1 for chassis my case has 2 fans. could i buy a splitter and connect it to the chassis slot for the two fans. not enough power?

Solution
Fans take up very little power so that wouldn't be an issue.

With that, you can use splitters - no problem.

Just be sure you don't already have extra headers you could use.

Unless you have very high speed industrial fans, connecting two fans to a single motherboard fan header with the appropriate splitter should be no problem.

Typically a MB fan header is rated up to a max of 1A. Most computer case fans are in the 0.1 to 0.3 A range. The specs for your fans should be pretty easy to find.
