A few weeks ago I ordered a cheap wireless N Realtek adapter on eBay and it shipped from China. It came with a Realtek mini- driver disc but my laptop can't play it. I have since lost track of the CD.

I have tried both the RTL8192SE and the RTL8192SU drivers, neither will recognize the device. It shows in the device manager as an unknown Wireless N device, windows can't find a driver. I'm pretty sure I remember the cd saying "RTL8172".

If someone could help me find the correct driver for this device I'd be eternally grateful. I'm running on a laptop w/ Windows 7.

Here's a picture of the device:

Solution
If you open the 'Details' tab in the Properties panel from Device Manager, there should be a drop-down box. Pick 'Hardware IDs'

Find the line with "VID_XXXX&PID_XXXX". Take the two bits of hex, put a colon between them (you should get something like "046D:C05A"), and google it.
