Hello!

I have recently built a new gaming rig. Containing the Intel i7 4790k, 16GB corsair lp ram, GTX980, installed on a Asus Rog Hero VII motherboard. Im using Windows 8.1

With this new setup i also ordered the new HyperX Cloud II gaming headset.

The problem is that when I play games with my friends we chat on Skype, and they can barely hear my voice unless i have the mic almost inside my mouth.

I wanted to use the microphone mic boost slider in Windows, like i did with my old computer rig and my g35 headset. When I go to properties for the mic there is only one microphone volume slider, and this slider wont be adjusted at all. It only stays at zero and can't be moved.

I've searched the internet all I can for a solution for this, but I cant find any. I've tried to uninstall the Realtek HD Audio drivers in the control panel, but without luck. I've also got some Nvidia sound drivers installed (comes with the nvidia graphic card drivers), I tried to disable these in the device manager, but the mic boost option in Windows still wont be adjusted.

Im not very good at computers. The things I've tried as described is something I've tried because maybe I thought it could be a driver over riding the ability to move the mic slider in windows.

Does anyone have any tips or anything to help me solve this problem?

Thank you very much in advance.

Sorry for my bad english.

Do you recomend any software?

I also now discovered that i can not boost the mic in steam either, the mic boost option is greyed out.
