I've seen a couple other threads like this and I'm not great with computers but they didn't solve the problem for me :(
My Hard drive space keeps filling up and filling up - every time i restart my computer it has about 50MB left but after a few minutes that gradually decreases until i apparently have 0 bytes left. I wouldn't have thought that would be possible (Surely it needs some memory/information to run even basic processes?)
Lots have people have suggested things like ccleaner or other helpful storage cleaning utilities but I simply dont have enough hard drive space to download them in the first place - I really can't see any way I can clear up more space without actually needing to have any free memory to start with, any help?

Hi there barnez,

Most probably your system is creating restore points. You just need to adjust your System Restore settings and reduce the space allocated for system restore. You can delete the previous restore points as well.
Check this out: http://www.howtogeek.com/125923/7-ways-to-free-up-hard-disk-space-on-windows/

Hope this will help,

Every time the PC does another System Restore another 3 to 5 percent of your disk space is used.

Decrease the size of the space allocated for System Restore points.

Control Panel, System and Security, System, Advanced System Settings, System Protection

I had the same problem. If you download a lot of videos & delete them apparently they are still on your hard drive. If you download WinDirStat it will show all deleted DVD's & video files you think you've already deleted & you can then permanently delete them & recover literally hundreds of GB's of hard drive space. Happy hunting!
