When I try and start my PC it makes a serious list of short beeps it won't stop until I hold the power button the screen stays blank I tried taking out and reinstalling ram and GPU but nothing I have a gigabyte gaming 3 motherboard if that helps

Solution
What kind of pattern do the beeps come in? We need to know how many. Provide a recording if possible, or describe them if you can't.

Thanks, but I found out what the problem was it turns out it is the motherboard I have two faulty ram slots as long as I use the two closest to the CPU it starts fine, but if I use the far ones I get the short beeps. is their away to fix this or am I going to have to RMA the board?

Could be motherboard could be cpu which has the memory controller in it.Which board, which cpu?

Seems like one channel isn't working fine, since no beeps with the stock cooler maybe that the cooler isn't tightend correct,to much pressure on one of the corners, you should tighten gently each corner a bit untel the cooler can't move or only just slightly.
Your cooler may be working with a crossbar, tighten each of the two screws just a bit until as described above.

Also maybe that one slot needs to be occupied at all times like the second one counted from the cpu.

DDR3_1 and DDR3_3 work fine when I switch or try and use the other two I get the beep. I think the cooler was/is fine the beeping might have been caused because I had no ram in at all then I just put one stick in and it worked! then I tried to put in DDR3_2 for duel channel then I got the beep again took it out put it in slot 3 it worked then tried 4 then beeping happen again.

Those, according to the manual, should be the ones used first. If the cooler isn't overley tightend and all other options tried maybe indeed rma the motherboard and see.
Xmp was enabled in the bios?
Bios up to date (if needs to be with a new motherboard like that)? Can be done with just working on one stick.
This motherboard? "GA-Z97X-Gaming 3".
Are about my last ideas before suggesting rma.

OK I will try those, but lets just say my bios is out dated if I get the latest one can that void the warranty if things go bad I never done a bios update before.

That's correct it's a z97x-gaming 3
and xmp is disabled I can't turn it on

Updating the bios doesn't void warranty,it might in the worst case "brick" a motherboard, but gigabyte uses boards with two bios chips so when one get's corrupted the other one is there as back up.
It's by now almost impossible to brick a new motherboard, just read the instructions and don't restart until it's done even if it takes a while.

For XMP,it should be possible to enable it.

XMP is grayed out for me I can't enable it, but I did call amazon their gonna give me a full refund once I ship the board back I went ahead and bought a MSI Z97-Gaming 5 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard do you think this was a good buy? I went with this one because I have had MSI motherboards, but on the AMD side and have never gave me any problems.
