I just got a E8335(2.98Ghz) for my 1545 laptop, and it caped at 2.66Ghz, Is there anyway to overcome this cap?

Solution

Probably not since it isn't an officially supported cpu and I beleive the highest multiplier that that Dell can use is 10, which limits you to 2.66Ghz.
