PC goes to sleep mode while downloading a game

I set Windows to sleep after 5 minutes of idle in the power settings, but when I was downloading The Sims 3 on Origin, the PC went to sleep in the middle of the download and when waking the PC, I had to resume the download. Is it normal for that to happen? Is there a workaround without having to change the sleep settings in the control panel to manually disable sleep every time?

some intel mb in the power/sleep setting let the pc download in the background while the screen is off.

Can that be set up in the ASRock UEFI? I'm not aware that some MBs can continue downloads while in sleep mode.

To keep on downloading when screen is off and without worrying about overheating problems check this out. It helped me. This reduces the power consumption but my answer is not a solution for Standby Download Mode. And its tested only for Laptops.
