Hello! I am looking towards building a good, cheap gaming computer for more FPS intense games such as BF3. I'd like to hear back on whether or not the following specs will be good and worth the money, or not. If not, please tell me other suggestions, it would be very appreciated!

CPU: Intel Core i3 4130 - $176
GPU: EVGA Nvidia GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5 - $170
SSD: Kingston V300 120GB SATAIII Ready - $64
HDD: 1TB WD BLUE HDD - $70
COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler - $41
PSU: Corsair CSM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply - $75
MOBO: MSI 970A G43 - $96
RAM: 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600MHz (OC: 1866MHz) CL7 - $124
=$816 CAD

Solution

good overall, the cpu cooler is still not necessary as stock cooler will do fine, spend more on either CPU / GPU or even PSU

- you might want to go for i5-4460, BF3 is quite CPU intensive especially in multiplayer mode ( large map with lots of players )
- AMD R7-265 is cheaper and perform better than an GTX 750 Ti, go for R9-270 if you have the budget
- you dun nid a aftermarket cooler for a non-k CPU, stock cooler will do
- get a cheaper psu and spend more on CPU and GPU

- that is a AM3+ board for AMD's FX CPU, you nid a LGA 1150 board for intel's haswell cpu

- performance ram doesnt really increased overall performance that much, go with a cheaper, low CAS latency,1600 MHz ram will do

spend more on CPU and GPU
