hey guys I ran into a couple problems today. I just installed a hyper 212 evo on my amd athlon x4 860k and attempted overclocking. I got up to 4.3Ghz at 1.7 volts with no problems. I ran prime 95 for about 6-8 hours and everything was perfect . It was pretty stable.
So now I was playing league of legends everything maxed out, had itunes open, chrome and core temp to keep an eye on my temperature and all of a sudden my system froze. It happened twice today and now I'm wondering what I could've done wrong? windows is freshly installed since I just did a reset a few days ago so virus is out of the question? pc is brand new as well so dust is no problem. please if someone can help and provide answers that would be really helpful

Solution
Either your monitoring program was old your CPU is a technical marvel. You could NOT have gotten stable 1.7V. Use the absolutely latest AIDA, CPUZ, Hardware monitor to monitor voltage and temps. You should at all time stay below 1.5V if possible.
