Where do I plug my dual 4-pin (8 pin MB CPU 12V) into a Coolermaster V1000

The main 24 pin connector has a 10-pin plug in the sleeve for the cpu power. It won't fit in my 8-pin socket.

2 questions:

1. Do I need another cable from CM?

2. There is a cable with 2 4 pin connectors that fits my 8-pin but it will only plug into a 4-pin SATA power plug on the Power Supply. The instructions are useless. Is this right? If not, what do I do? I am not turning on the computer until I get a good answer. I have searched everywhere.

Yes I found the 8 pin PSU which splits to 2 4-pin plugs that go into the EPS CPU power port. When I turn it on the MB has now power.

When I swap out back to my cheap 500 watt power supply, and connect the same two cables (24 and 8), the MB powers up. So its something in the new PSU.

Now, for the interesting stuff. I got another V1000 from Cooler Master for another build. I plugged in the 24 and 2 4-pin cable and I get nothing. The odds of two PSU's being DOA are pretty low, right?

What am I doing wrong? This is the last step of my build and I am going crazy. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you actually tried turning it on though?

Yes, there are two ways to turn it on. The MB has a power button and I also used the case power button.

On the V1000, nothing. On the old 500 watt supply, pressing either button turns on MB (no other connections are turned on at this point as I am trying to diagnose this).

Thanks for your help. Any other ideas? This is happening with two brand new V1000 power supplies from Cooler Master.
