Xbox One External storage

hey guys,
I wanna buy WD SSHD (16gb nand) as an external storage for my xbox one

I read about how it is not compatiable being the MAIN drive for PS4, but as an external storage, will it work for the Xbox one?
will it work as in - will the drive use its 16gb nand or will there be an issue?

As a storage device a SSHD will give no benefit over a HDD. They are designed to be used as a system drive by putting frequently accessed system files on the SSD portion.

that is mildly incorrect, since the drive has the ability to cache whatever is used frequently , and in this case, a game recently bought and now is being played in sessions till finished.

was wondering if its compatible.

Yes, of course, an SSHD is compatible with the Xbox One. However, I believe you'd be able to experience all the benefits of a hybrid drive if you put it inside the console. But then again it's up to you!
