Installing new ram causes computer to turn on and off within a second, repeatedly.

I have a computer that I constructed several years ago, and when I first purchased the parts I discovered that one of the ram sticks was causing the computer to turn on and off without any start or display (within the time of a second). Figuring the ram was bad, I uninstalled the chip and tried to get a new one from Corsair, to no avail. I decided I would just bite the bullet on this occasion, as it seemed anomalous enough, and I purchased a new stick of corsair ram, which worked fine.

Fast forward to now, I have purchased two more sticks of ram for the machine of the same type. Upon installing them, the shut on and off problem reappeared. After testing both chips, it seems that both of them are broken as well! I tried switching the slots that each chip was installed in in every such combination, but nothing worked unless both of the new chips were uninstalled. Oddly, one of the chips worked one time when it was the only one installed, but I have not been able to make that happen again.

Now, I am having a lot of trouble believing that 60% of the ram I buy from Corsair, a company which people haven't run out of the country, is broken. It just doesn't seem too likely to me. So any thoughts you have on a solution would be very helpful.

The specs are as follows:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3(R2.0)

Ram: Corsair 8GB 1600MHZ 1.5V

1st stick is Ver.7.21 (Works fine alone or with stick 2)

2nd stick is Ver.8.16 (Works fine alone or with stick 1)

3rd and 4th stick are Ver.8.16 (Do not work)

5th stick is Ver.7.21(This is the one I purchased initially, did not work at all)

CPU is an Intel i5-2500k w/ 3.3 GHz

model #s: CMZ8GX3M2A1600C11B for the two sticks I just bought.
CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B for the first stick, and CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 for the second stick (these are the ones I had installed previously)

Let's try starting make sure you have the latest BIOS, then with the new ones installed, enable XMP select Profile 1 and see if it boots OK - if so, back to BIOS and raise the DRAM voltage to 1.575 and the MC voltage (think it's called DDRVTT or CPUVTT on your mobo) to 1.15, save, exit, shutdown, add the other two sticks and give it a try.

Ok so turns out I'm running a really old version of the BIOS, so I went to Gigabyte's page to update it and downloaded the newest one. Unfortunately what I installed is now telling me it doesn't work on the version of windows I have installed, yet it I see no way to ensure I am downloading a 64bit BIOS update on Gigabyte's website. This problem occurs for both the newest version, as well as the second newest :(

Ok I apologize if it's super obvious but where do you see selection of OS? That was the site I was downloading the updates from before, but apparently they don't work (Both R1.0 and R2.0) on Win7 64bit.
