I recently upgraded my PC. I bought a r9 290 off my friend with my old motherboard and cpu. It runs fine and I enjoyed good graphics game play.
A few weeks after I bought the graphics card, I decided I should upgrade my cpu, motherboard and psu. I bought the AMD fx 8350 CPU, AsRock Extreme3 990fx motherboard and the Inwin Commander iii 800w powersupply.
At first I didn't reinstall windows 8 and I noticed when I played nba 2k15 the game would freeze about 3 or so minutes into the first quarter. It would make a beeping sound and I would have to reboot to turn it back on, I then decide to reinstall windows and still the same issue. The pc also gets lag spikes when web browsing on google chrome. This last about 15 seconds and goes back to normal.
I have no idea what to do and I invested a bit of money into my new rig. Appreciate any help I can get.
