Budget range will be approximately 800-1000 AUD including purchase of monitor (relatively decent) and keyboard, as well source of connection to wifi (network adapter possibly?).

The computer will be predominantly used for gaming and if possible be capable of playing the latest games at high or ultra settings (i predominantly play Dota 2, CSGO however i wish to play farcry, skyrim, crysis and possibly other similar games after building the PC)

Location: Adelaide, South Australia, Australia

General preferences (can be modified if needed) for parts:

Ram: 8gb
OS: Windows 8.1

Possibly want to upgrade parts in the future.

Thanks a bunch if you could help!

Admirable
This is as good as I can really do, seeing as how expensive parts are in Aus

Hey Nuckles_56, thanks for the help! Do you have any suggestions for a (affordable, but still decent) keyboard and monitor as well?
And will this be capable of playing most games on high settings?
Another question, will a ssd or optical drive be necessary?

Hey Buddy!

I have come up with this build with a good monitor and everything. Its a bit above the budget since AUS Parts are so expensive. If you're willing to spend that much more on the PC it will be worth it. Sorry I couldnt come up with one on the $1000 spot. If you do want to lower the budget a bit, go with the r9 270. The CoolerMaster CPU Cooler will give it a mild overclock.

His build will be capable of playing most games at high settings, I have never really used my optical drive. A SSD wont be too necessary at this point and also here is a good keyboard/mouse bundle. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-keyboard-sgb3010kkmf1us

Ah sweet as ExOArTiE, thanks for the help!
I might still buy an optical drive for transferring music from cds and possibly playing some old games, any suggestion for a candidate? PS. Sorry i know you've already helped too much already XD

Given that it's a pretty small budget it would be best to do a refresh on the builds here as the prices will almost certainly have moved a bit. I personally would always advice looking at all prices just before you buy to make sure you're getting the best deals.

What's your budget at the moment?

What do you think of this?
