I recently purchased 16gb of RAM that's 2400 mhz, and the timing is 10-12-12-31. I know that right now my RAM is set at around 1333mhz and definitely not those timings at all. Is it worth going in manually in changing them? And what's the benefit of changing it? Thanks!

What mobo and CPU? On Intel with say a K model CPU - about all it takes is go to BIOS enable XMP and select profile 1 .....an AMD rig may be more difficult - there are few AMD CPUs that can carry 2400

No, it may well run fine at 2400 under XMP, if not can manually set to 1600/1866 or 2133 for better performance without OCing the CPU
