Failing motherboard or PSU??

Recently my computer will shut off and it will display something for the UEFI, x something. The third time it did it I couldn't shut off the computer. The display displayed nothing but the fans spun and the power LED was on even if I held it down and even when I hit the PSU switch off then on it immediately turned back on. It was almost several minutes before it would turn off. just recently it turned off and immediately restarted. What is the problem here??

8 Gb (2x4) Sniper Gskill Ram @ 2133 Megahertz and 9 CL
Windows 8.1
Corsair CX series 430 watt bronze PSU
Stock AMD cooler

I did, and I might have solved it. The way my computer case is built the 24 pin cable doesn't fit behind the motherboard tray. This resulted in the heavy cable to put a lot of stress on the 24 pin connector. In fact I pushed in all the way and the problem hasn't happened since.
