Upgraded a Compa nc6000 to Win7 fresh install new hard drive. Install went fine but now my built in wireless isn't recognized at all. It has a button to turn it on or off and it does nothing either. I assume the driver is gone. How do I go about getting this back to work? I have no idea what make/model the device is but it's the way it was when it was out of the box. Any advice?

It previously had Vista and I was never a fan of it. I figured 7 would be better than that. It's wifey's laptop and she just plays online puzzle games on it so I'm not too worried about it being a speed demon. I will have to fix this somehow or I'm sleeping in the garage tonight LOL

Okay here is the deal...It is supported by both Vista and Windows 7 but for Win7 it cannot be Pro or Ultimate, the driver is unsupported. Will work fine with Home Edition. Spent a good portion of the day trying to figure it out. I was also doing another machine today and the same problem with the video driver. I think it's about time to put these PC's in the recycle bin themselves and start over with something a tad newer LOL
