Error 0xC004F063 Activating Windows Please Help

i tried activating windows 7 ultimate on my custom build but this message appears every time i try it:

"The Software licensing Service reported that the computer BIOS is missing a required license"

My mother board is an EVGA z87 Stinger and i have the 1.09 BIOS version which is the latest one.

Much more backstory needed here.

Where did the Windows 7 Ultimate license come from?
Is this a fresh install on new hardware?

yes, it is a fresh install
but, does the license source affect the problem?

Well, it's not an original product key, I got it from a web page that had windows 7 keys. I thought that it worked but that the bios of my computer was missing the license.

A screenshot of the exact error, and when it happens would be good here.

But for future reference - Windows 7 'keys', bought from 'a web page'...is almost certainly not legit.
MS no longer allows valid resellers to sell 'only' the key for Windows 7 anymore. HAsn't since Windows 8 was released.

hi, i bought a license key and it worked. I was using a license key that a friend gave me. He said it was from facebook.
I was like WTF.
