Do keyboards actually matter for gaming? If so, can you please recommend me a few?

Well, I am putting together a gaming PC and I was wondering if I should get one of those fancy keyboards. Do they really matter? Like do they really make a big difference? Because I have seen a wide range of prices and since I am an ignorant in these matters, I came to you guys for advice. Any suggestions? I appreciate any information you can share.

Thanks!

Man gamers like the LCD equipped gaming KBs from Logitech and others. You can for example display CPU / GPU temps, voltages and such there. Specific gaming apps provide in-game information, as well as programmability and control. List of 60 or so games here:

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/keyboards/articles/554

Also ....

AMD LCD Keyboard Applet - displays processor name, L1 & L2 cache sizes, current voltage, core frequency, memory frequency, and HyperTransport™ technology frequency.

Fraps by Beepa - can be used with all games using DirectX or Open GL technology. Fraps performs many tasks such as: Benchmarking, Screen Capture, and Realtime Video Capture. Requires v2.7 or higher for G15 support.

i have a blue cherry mx keyboard (ducky shine 3 tkl) and switching from a membrane does show a difference. although a keyboard isnt that important as you are better off spending 100 dollars on a better pc component.i use to game on a microsoft wireless gaming keyboard (still do sometimes) also one of my must mentioned keyboards are those generic dell ones. literally if you dont want to spend too much money and have a keyboard to game grab it
