My computer is currenly about 2.5 years old and has been running just fine up until about two weeks ago. Windows started freezing up and I got multiple bsods. When rebooting it sometimes wouldn't find a boot medium. After a while I figured out through boot that my computer was not seeing my SSD anymore, however it does show up again every now and than.
Here is what I have tried so far:
Switching the port on my motherboard
Switching the cable used to connect
Installed windows on my HDD (it works this way but slow)

Is there anything else I should check or can I conclude that my SSD is broken and should I get a new one?

Computer specs:
SSD: OCZ Vertex 2E SATA II 2.5" SSD 60GB
Windows 7 64 bit
ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard
AMD Radeon HD 7800 series

Thanks for any tips/hints that can be given.

Hey man. Reinstall windows on your ssd but UNPLUG YOUR HDD and any other drive you have. Disconnect both the data cable and power cable of the hdd. Having other drives plugged in or even any usb drives can mess up the entire process and continuously cause the ssd to disappear. Make sure only the ssd is plugged in

I spent a week trying to figure out this problem myself and finally solved it by doing the above method. Good luck.
