MSI Z97 G45 not booting up, fans don't start

About 2 months ago, I bought and built a pc, and it's been working great.
However, just yesterday, when I tried to turn it on, nothing happened.
The power supply fan turned on, the hard drive spun up and even the graphics card fans started spinning.
However, none of the fans connected to the motherboard started spinning, and when I took out my multimeter and measured the V-Check points, they all read as 0V (CPU and RAM voltage).
I recall having to force shut it down after it refused to wake from sleep mode, but other than that, I didn't change anything.

Does anybody know what's wrong?
Is my motherboard dead?
If it's important, I have a i7-4790K and an XFX R9 280X.

Solution
PSU may still be faulty, as some of the multiple voltage outputs may not be working at all, or supplying less than nominal voltage.

Recommend measuring PSU voltages with the unit plugged in to the motherboard and video card.

Still recommend getting another PSU as a test.

Could try removing video card and use integrated graphics instead. And/or try video card in another computer.

I will re-plug in all the cables and check the power supply voltages tonight.
However, I'm not sure if the power supply is to blame because everything else connected to it seems to be powered (eg LED strip, hard drive/SSD).

Ha! solved it.
The motherboard plug was loose.
When I tried to unplug it so I could measure the voltages, it just fell right out.
Thanks for your help, it seems like it really was sort of to do with the power supply.
