Hello everybody
I put together a new build and wanted to monitor the temperatures to make sure everything is constructed well. I started using HWmonitor and saw the TMPIN0 temperature from the motherboard sensors is constantly at 115 celsius.

Because all other temperatures are good, I double checked with HWinfo and see the folllowing:

CPU around 33
Motherboard 28-31
Temp3 108
Temp4106
Temp5 106
Temp6 115

In light of all other temps being normal and the fact that these high temperatures are there immediately after startup I do not believe they are correct.

Anyone have ideas how to troubleshoot this? I also do not have a clue what these temperature sensors are.

Thanks in advance for your help.

My rig:
Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.5 Ghz (not yet overclocked)
16 GB Ram
Asus Z97i Plus Mainboard
Gainward GTX 980 Phantom
Windows 8.1 Update

Yeah, those are probably duds. If your system was actually running that hot it'd have shut off by now, and you could probably bake on egg on it.

The readings don't seem to change at all either, which reinforces my belief that they're just duds. I wouldn't worry about it, this happens with some hardware configurations. It's not that uncommon.
