Solution
It's either your power supply going bad or a bad ground in the outlet or string of outlets in the room. I noticed in my basement that the outlets around the room had grounds that were daisy chained together, so while the outlet actually had a connected ground attached to it, there was one outlet that was disconnected, effectively removing ground for everything else in the room. You can use an AC Outlet tester to find and diagnose the problem.

I would investigate both of these possibilities, ground at the outlet and the power supply itself.
