You can't the roku3 uses a wireless connection to talk to the remote even if you are running wired. This is mostly so you can use the ability to stream the audio to the remote and listen to it via headphones.
Now if you really want to try you can try to use WPS when the roku first comes up and pairs with a remote. Not real sure what will happen. One of these days I will get ambitious enough to crack the WPS passcode and get they keys so I can capture and decode the data stream and see what it is up to.
