Right now I'm going into an upgrade frenzy for my PC. New mobo, new CPU, new RAM and a new cooling system.

What I want to know right now is what would be the better cooling solution for this CPU? I am currently looking at two coolers in particular. One liquid and the other Air. I am not interested in overclocking the CPU just yet.

Liquid Cooler: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00FFCB0BG/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2YDJ8A04HAEO9&coliid=I2MBJL501DEY3R

Air Cooler: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Hyper-212-120mm/dp/B0068OI7T8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425322620&sr=8-1&keywords=air+cpu+cooler

Or should I stick with the stock cooler?

If you are not planning on overclocking, stick to the stock cooler. The Intel stock cooler is quite good - if you are not overclocking.

I have the 4690k doing a mild overclock with a Hyper Evo 212 and it does a fine job. That is just the step above the stock cooler. The evo has really impressed me, since its performance to price ratio is quite good.

If you want to experiment with overclocking in the future, I'd buy a good liquid cooling system.

In conclusion, I would advice you to stick with the stock Intel cooler (given you are not overclocking) and either keep the money saved or buy better quality board/RAM.

That is a fair point. I guess there's always going to be room to upgrade in the future if I just save some money.

Wise choice, Sir. If you are going to upgrade the future however, I would recommend buying a better quality liquid cooler, like the H100i from Corsair. I have had great experiences with that cooler. I do not own it myself, but several friends does.

Noise isn't really an issue for me. As long as my PC does its job well, I'm more than happy for it to sound like a hurricane :3

Yeah, I'll definitely look into liquid coolers once I feel that I need to get more out of the CPU.
