What games can my E8500 run?

Hello Tomshardware community,

So I know I have a old CPU, but can it run anything decent? Or even some of the newer games?

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3,16 GHz.
GPU - nVidia GTX 750 Ti.
RAM - 4GB DDR3

I know that the CPU is bottlenecking my graphics card. ;)

There're lots of games you can play on that config. I couldn't possibly list them all, but here are just a few from the Steam Top Sellers page:
* CS: GO
* Gmod
* Civilization V, all DLC
* L4D series
* Civilization Beyond Earth
* Borderlands series
* Portal series

You can't play Dying Light, of course, but there're plenty of games out there that can still run on a Core 2 Duo.

EDIT: Oops, I forgot about Goat Simulator. You can't leave that off the list, lol

BF3/4 should be fine too since they require a 2.4 GHz C2D, and you've got that covered.

What genres are you looking for? We can spout off games forever, but if you're not going to play them then it doesn't do much good.
