Like the title says, i'm looking for a way to transfer files without having to buy a special kind of connecter, because i got a new PC, which is more powerful than my current PC. I really don't want to have to download 500 GB's of data again, so i'm wondering if i can connect the two via a cable i might have laying around.
Second question, Would a PNY Factory OC'ed 8800GTX Bottleneck a AMD Phenom II X4 925 Quadcore badly? Yes, i know it's quite old, but it pushes 60FPS in Battlefield 3 at 1680X1050, so it work's for me.
And I'm broke, so buying thing's is kind of out of question.

There's no where to hook up a SATA cable on my old hard drive, or motherboard for that matter. It's an IDE Hard Drive, and my other one is SATA.

Then you're going to have to buy something.
Also, what exactly are you looking at transferring?

Quite literally, everything. I've transferred games over Teamviewer before, and they've worked fine.
As well as music, music video's, etc.

There are various values of 'everything'.
Music, videos, sure.
Games, maybe, depending
Applications, no. They need to be reinstalled.
OS, no.

In any case, you have an old IDE drive, and nothing to connect it to. You will need to buy something.
