I initially had one pair of powerline network adapters to connect a desktop pc in my basement.

The connection was great so i decided to get another pair for a pc on the other side of the house.
Immediately after adding the second pair both speeds were terrible so I decided to take out the second pair and try again. Turns out the first pair now is terrible as well. The ping/upload is fine but the download speed is 1/20th of what it should be.

Ive tried restarting/unplugging/reconnecting both the pc's the adapters and the modem and router and I have not found any way to get my connection back to normal. A direct ethernet connection to the pc next to the router still works full speed.

I am wondering if anyone on here has encountered this issue or has any idea what I should do?

Totally weird.

Sometimes multiple sets of Powerline adapters cannot all work simultaneously as the signals interfere with each other.

Check on the circuit breakers to see if any got tripped.

I am thinking that the original powerline adapter got damaged from the 2nd one. I would recommend that you get a faster set. There are some newer ones that do not get bottlenecked from the 10/100 port.
