Hello Tom's Hardware community! I was just wondering what if I could have some help overclocking my i5-4670K safely. Below are the statistics from the CPU-Z program.
Stats:
core speed: around 800.10 - 1000 MHz
Bus speed: 100 MHz
cores: 4
threads: 4

Rest of computer:
GPU: Geforce GTX 660
Motherboard: MS-7816
Ram: corsair Vengence 16GB DDR3
PSU: corsair 750W

1st get a CPU cooler

$30 - Hyper 212

$60 - Phanteks H-TC14PE

$90 - Noctua DH-15

$140 - Swiftech H-220-X

Once that's done I can send you a step by step.

Also what model PSU ... Corsair makes some great ones and some really crappy ones so which model you have is significant and will in part determine your OC

oh im sorry i forgot, i have a hyper 212 evo already.
and the PSU is the CX750

The CX series will hold you back a bit, especially as the build ages.

The Hyper 212 is a safe bet for 4.2 Ghz on a 4670k.... with a real good one, and good case cooling 4.4 Ghz. I'd limit VCore to 1.200 to 1.225 volts. You should be able to get to 4.4 Ghz if you leave Cache multiplier on Auto and don't have particularly fast RAM. Cache really only comes in handy on specialized apps like image editing.
