I have the below configuration and am trying to figure out if upgrading the CPU from a Intel Core2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz to an Intel Core 2 Extreme 3.0Ghz 12MB 1333FSB QX9650 - http://www.serverworlds.com/intel-core-2-extreme-3-0ghz-12mb-1333fsb-qx9650-slawn/ - is worth the performance increase or should I start thinking about spending some more $ and build a new gaming PC.
I am also running on a Corsair 256GB SSD drive with a few other Sata drives.

agreed but I am just trying to figure out if the CPU upgrade to the extreme will be a significant boost. I run the following games on high levels with out issue, BF4 and max payne 3, watch dogs (this one at medium levels). With GTV5 being released in a few weeks I am thinking my current build is barely at minimum specs.
