Not sure if in the right category but whenever there is audio playing from my screen, connected by HDMI to computer, the sound cuts out intermittently.

Only happens on HDMI, doesn't happen on audio output.

NVIDIA HD Audio, Gigabyte H97 Gaming 3, Gigabyte GTX 760, Intel Core i5 4690.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. It seems to be getting worse and worse. Used to only happen to video files downloaded to my hard drive. While troubleshooting I've deleted and reinstalled all drivers, downloaded codecs, installed and tried multiple media players, and somewhere along the line it went form only effecting things on my hard drive to also effecting streaming video from sites like Youtube and Hulu. It's been going on for a couple days now that I noticed. Also running audio through the HDMI to the TV with a Gigabyte GTX 750ti Black Edition.

I'm about to return my Nvidia card and try a comparable AMD. From the research I've done it seems the 2d/idle clock is set way too low for basic things like music and movies. The card will probably work fine while gaming, mine does. I'm not a gamer though, and this is an HTPC, and I bought the card solely to watch movies in 1080p through an HDMI cable with. And it can't do that.

From what I've read, there's no way to fix it with Nvidia. AMD's 2D clock is also set way too low, but can be altered easily in the included control center, which solves the problem. Too bad a software limitation makes this supposedly powerful GPU too weak to watch Youtube on.
