Just built a great new compomp :) and I extracted my two HDD's from the old one and put them into the new one. Went to boot and the OS wont go past the first windows animation image. Then it restarts and recomends a fix or start normal. I select start normal and it goes into the same loop. I see that some have said I need to re install WIN7. Will that cause me to loose all my data???

Solution
Yes, you will need a new install of Windows, and yes, this will format the drive and lose any data.

You can get the data off by mounting the drive in another system first.
There are ways around a fresh install. There is imaging software that can do it. Here is a link describing how to do it without imaging software. I have not used it, but give it whirl. See how it works.

Maybe, maybe not. But it is what he wants. He deserves the opportunity to find out for himself. If it doesn't work, clean install is always an option. That isn't going anywhere.

I have tried it twice on machines I use. The first time went very well. The second attempt gave me some trouble and I settled on a clean install. We will see.
