can a 600watts generic psu can power asus h81m-a, i3 4150, kingston hyperX 4gb 1866, seagate 500gigs, biostar gtx 650?

Solution
Certainly! In general, a 600W PSU will power that rig just fine, but I'd also recommend going with a trusted brand to avoid any issues :)

To add to this. Your setup requires no more than 500, so 600 is safe from a wattage point of view.

The reason people on this forum recommend quality PSUs in general, is because these are shooting energy into all your components to drive them. If you have a bad quality PSU it can seriously damage and even kill components over a short, medium or long term period.

THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED...it is simply more likely and a higher risk. You may be fine in the end. It is simply peace of mind, that a gold or platinum rated Seasonic will preserve your system most likely and not harm your components.

Answering the original question, it will power the PC no problem.

Higher quality components, reliability, warranties, etc.
They are also generally more accurate about what they say their capability is.

rated power supplies mean how much energy they waste at certain load levels, which you can read more about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80_Plus
