I am unable to connect my toshiba satellite to our home internet or my college Internet . Sometimes I can connect to the home internet but it's a weak connection and often drops the connection. If I really need to use my laptop for internet I use the personal hotspot on my iPhone to supply my laptop with internet and that works but I need to be able to connect to my home and college wifi

Have you ever been able to have a good connection, or is this a new issue?
Have you updated drivers (from Toshiba support website)?
What are the wireless settings for your home router?
What version of windows are you using?
You might try booting your computer from a bootable linux CD/DVD (Linux Mint is a good one to try). If you can get a good connection with this, it would show you that the wireless adapter is fine, and something is wrong in windows. If it still works poorly, it shows that the wireless adapter is faulty, in which case you should get a USB wireless adapter.
