My laptop (Acer Aspire 7740G) works fine with WIFI, but with the Ethernet connection at work my Ethernet card (Broadcom Netlink Gigabit) stops working after a while. From this moment the Network adapter is showing the famous "identifying network, no internet connection". From this point, nothing can be done. Disabling the adapter is impossible, even turning my Laptop in sleep-mode is impossible.

I have tried:
-Re installing the drivers
-Disabling and enabling the Network card.
-Uninstalling the device from the computer management.

Nothing helps except restarting my computer every 45 minutes to get my connection back.

I found the problem! :) The Windows 8.1 update (probably mostly downloaded/illegal ones) causes the problem. The Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ehternet card is installed by Windows automatically. If you experience the same problem. Uninstall the current driver and install the drivers from the Broadcom website.

Download the files and right click on the .inf file and select install.
