Hi guys, I've been following this forum and the opinion of many of you seems to be spot on on many topics, so I decided to bring my question to you...

I've had this entire build since over 5 years, except for the HDD (2 years), CPU (1.5 years), and the Graphics card (8 months).

Recently the Motherboard started giving me slight issues when connecting the audio jack, but after i disconnect and connect it again it picks it up right away... It's not a big issue but it has me a bit worried.

The last update I did was the Graphics card, so right now I'm thinking about changing the mobo, or the processor... with luck and money, both.
BTW, the main usage of this computer is gaming.

The estimated budget is around 300 US$

So what do you guys think? which should be next, and what part would be recommended?

Case: Thermaltake Dokker
PSU: Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 600W
Motherboard: MSI 770-C45
Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition
Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper TX3
Graphics Card: AMD Sapphire R9 270X Vapor-X OC 2GB GDDR5
Memory:
2x OCZ Special Ops Edition “Black” DDR3 2GB 1600 MHz (OCZ3SOE1600LV4GK - PC3 12800 - 8-8-8@1.65v) (Slot 1 and 3)
1x OCZ Gold Series DDR3 2GB 1600 MHz (OCZ3G1600LV2G - PC3 12800 - 8-8-8@1.65v) (Slot 2)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda, 1TB, 7200 RPM, 64MB Cache, SATA 6.0Gb/s, (ST1000DM003)
DVD Recorder: LG GH22NS40

Thanks!

DO NOT overclock with that PSU. If you can, you should replace it ASAP. It's a very poor power supply, and I'm not sure I would even trust it with an 8 core AMD chip honestly. A good quality XFX/Seasonic/EVGA unit would be far more reliable and stable overall.

Hahaha, awesome recommendations.
The PSU one i've gotten from another person as well, and I got to read about it and it turns out it's not as awesome as I thought it was! I'll probably do that change first of all.

Any model/wattage recommendation? I think 600w should be enough, and keep room for some future upgrades... or am I in the wrong here?
