I have recently reinstall my windows xp. before reinstallation my pc has not sound problem.
but after reinstalling i have facing the sound problem i search this forum as well as google and tried many drivers but all are the waste. So hoping by posting here I will get some way to look around.

My PC configuration is
OS : Windows XP professional x86 SP3.
Intel DQ965GF motherboard version: AAD41676-601.

I have no sound card I uses On board sound device
I check the Intel Desktop Utilities v 3.0
It shows three onboard devices video, ethernet, sound and all of them status has enabled
I checked Audio service also it is enabled and automatic.
In Notification area there is no sound icon.
and in device manager ,
sound video and game controllers have not exclamation mark also

Drivers i tried:
Realtek AC 97
IDT high defination codec
ESS maestro
and also Intel IDT92xx audio drivers for all os from intel.com specifically for my motherboard.
Please tell me whats going out I can't figure out.
If you want more information free to ask.
