700 dollar gaming PC

Solution
I personally would go with 3rd build an better psu. As I tend to play more cpu intensive games, and a r9 290 can still max any game out there.

Do you need convincing? Builds 3 and 4 looks great, I support going for build 3 with a better PSU, take the suggestions above! You're going to be able to play any game on High if not Ultra for 2 years to come, in which case you can upgrade to a GTX 1370? Or a R13 266O (If the world doesn't blow up o_O)

personally, I'd go with a better CPU and a more future - proof motherboard with more opportunities to upgrade the PC further in future. I wouldn't mind going a bit lower to the R9 280x since the both the R9 280x and GTX 970 already can max most games at 1080p, but of course, the GTX 970 is better.
