I recently bought the zotac gtx 960 for $170 AR for my mini-itx system and am waiting for it to come in.

The MSI gtx 960 gaming OC is on sale for $190 AR.

Is the factory OC version worth the $20? Or should I just keep the non-OC version.

Solution
You can quickly and easily get it up to the OC level and save the $20. Furthermore you can reachmuch higher OC levels which the other card will most likely be restricted to also.

This factory OC thing is only really for non overclockers and a marketing tool, as the tiny little bit of OC they have performed is very easily duplicated.

Many people...

Let me guess, you're an ASUS/EVGA snob and think that these are the only true brands and everything else is made of paper and bits of chewing gum?

Personally, I don't think that the GTX 960 is worth your money. I'm not saying that it performs poorly, but it's price can't beat the R9 280 which costs around US$180 as compared to US$200. The R9 280 performs better, and has more VRAM.

I guess the only thing good about the GTX 960 is its lower power consumption :p

Sir your are not the first, not last who arguing about that when in a mean time dont use any of that brand.im kind like your pc build in your signature :D

Thanks for everyone who had a helpful response!

I'll stick with the non OC zotac. I was originally looking at the r9 280 and agree it's an amazing card for its price, but wanted to stick with Nvidia for my mini-itx build! :]
