I'm helping a buddy build a budget pc for gaming, specifically Dragon Age Inquisition. So far I've already got 16gb of ram and hard drives are covered. For the rest this is what I've got.

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor ($64.99 @ NCIX US)

Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB FTW ACX Video Card ($139.98 @ NCIX US)

Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($45.98 @ Newegg)
How does this seem/ any suggestions for mobo/case/psu?

I'm having a particularly hard time choosing a LGA 1150 micro ATX mobo.

All help is appreciated, thanks.

750ti is okay, but a 260x, or 270 is much better choice if you have the psu for it.

As for the psu, definitely get one from antec, xfx, or seasonic, the cx are low quality, only higher end corsair and evga units are good.

Any motherboard with 16x lanes, and sata 6 will do. Id recommend an Asus HDS h-81 as it has 4x powerphase, is cheap, and can overclock that cpu pretty good. drop an i5/i7 into the socket later down the road, or hold out for 2016 when new skylake and Fx processors come out.

First off thank you for such a quick reply. I am new to the forums (don't know why I've waited so long)
Are the amd cards that much better? I am partial to nvidia.
I like that PSU you recommended.
As for the mother board are there any Micro Atx board that have 4 ram slots? I only ask because I just to happen to have 4x4gb sticks on hand that I have no other use for.

Thanks

well r9 280 performs about the same as a gtx 960, but a gtx 960 is about 20-40$ more.
Much more performance for your dollar on amd side.

Personally the Only Nvidia cards worth getting over amd cards are gtx 970/980 tiers.
The 750ti is a great gpu for upgrading an older system, or for a system with very low wattage psu.

if you have 8gb ddr3 ram with those 4 sticks then for mobo you get a better mobo thats built for oc the Pentium, and can be upgraded to broadwell i5/i7 later:

Is there an asus mobo out there that has what I am looking for? I found this one

What do you think? I've just had good experience with asus mobos in the past.
