Seems like I need to upgrade my CPU to stream Twitch because im gettin very slight chop/delay during gameplay(WoW), any suggestions on something better and affordable than my Phenom II 965?

Setup:
- ASUS M5A97 motherboard
- Phenom II 965 Black Edition 3.4ghz CPU
- ASUS HD 7770 vid card
- Corsair 850w PSU
- Corsair H60 Liquid Cooling
- Samsung SSD 128 pro (Windows/WoW/software)
- 16GB Ripjaw RAM
- 1TB HDD storage
- Windows 7 HE

running Skype, 8tracks, Dxtory and OBS during stream and thats it. Thanks!

If it's just borderline you MAY be able to get away with a $90 Fx-6300. For <$200 you can get an Fx-8350 which will max out your motherboard and almost assuredly solve your problem.

For $300 you can get from microcenter an i5-5690K and motherboard ($400 is an i7-4790K) either of those options will have a much longer lifespan.

If it's in your budget you might as well. That's as much as you're going to ever get out of that motherboard. You can technically get the same rates with an 8320 with overclocking, but theoretically you have better chances of a higher overclock with an 8350. 8370 is a waste of money though.

okay great think ill go with the 8320 than. on the subject, I have never overclocked to be honest. do I use a program or is it in the UEFI BIOS? have heard nightmare stories about OC'ing from friends that caused BSOD's left and right, but im sure they were just doing it wrong though.
