The Pentium will bottleneck the living crap out of that 280 GPU.
Don't drink the Pentium "koolaid" it will not perform as well in multi-threaded games over an i3 or i5. Some games are starting to not even work with less then i3

Only one game refuses to work with dual thread, thats Dragon Age Inquisition, and even on that game it as only 1 heavy thread, all the other threads are small, and should work fine with the pentium if it were allowed.

Most your games running on multiple threads only have a huge heavy single thread running on 1 core, in which case this dual core can chew threw no problem.

It can reach similar performance as i3/i5/i7 when overclocked in most games.
