Xeon instead of I7 CPU in a Gaming/streaming PC?

I'm planning parts for my gaming/streaming pc and i have choosen everything except for the cpu.

I'm mostly gonna play Bf3/Bf4 and im gonna stream it aswell. I also went with an i7 or xeon for the hyperthreading.

I was first gonna choose the i7 4790K untill someone mentioned that a xeon is basically the same as a i7 except for the iGPU.

I have checked around in many online stores and found that a Xeon E3-1241 V3 was for $351
And an i7 4790K was for $391

Is it a better choice to go for the Xeon as im not planning to OC the cpu?
And will the Xeon work well with a R9 290?

This might be a weird question but which is the Xeon E3-1241 V3 closest to? The 4770K or the 4790K?

And will the cheaper Xeon E3-1231 V3 perform aswell as the E3-1241 V3?

The 1241 V3 is fore $351 and the 1231 V3 is for $315

Is there a big difference in performence between these to?

And if not, should i go for the 1231 instead of the 1241?
