Hi, i recently changed my harddrive from a 500gb 5400rpm to a 750gb 7200rpm an now my battery life dropped from around 4 hours

Hi, i recently changed my harddrive from a 500gb 5400rpm to a 750gb 7200rpm an now my battery life dropped from around 4 hours to about an hour. this just after changing harddrives

well 7200 rpm is more than 5400..
Probably we will need to know the specific drives too see the watt usage.

Other than that maybe your power settings keeps the new drive spinning more than it did the old. Look somewhere in advanced power settings.
