I just got the 2tb version because I am going to use it for college. I'm also going to get a macbook but I found out that I need to reformat it for it to work on mac....Can I make it work with windows and mac at the same time? I'm storing mainly movies and tv shows in it.
Convert to FAT32? Would that make my drive space smaller?

Hey there, PariahConqueror!

Following @popatim's advice, I'd suggest you a tutorial from our knowledge base that will walk you through the reformatting the drive to exFAT: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=Ezv0IE
However, FAT32 has the 4GB file size limit, whereas as already mentioned the exFAT is designed to support bigger files (16 EB to be exact).
If you have any data on your WD Elements, back it up before proceeding with the reformatting.

Hope I was helpful! :)
