My old 3200DPI generic mouse died so I ordered a new G700s which runs at 8200DPI.. I then read that cloth mouse pads are not good for high DPI mice. I've looked at pads like the G440 but all of the ones I've found are either a crappy generic or just too big. I only have 9 inches of width and 11 inches of length to work with.

My desk is hard wood and is a bit rough, but my old generic mouse seemed to work okay on just wood.. Could I just use my bare desk with the mouse?

Any help is appreciated!

I have a 6400DPI mouse and also have a wood table so i use a 7'' by 9'' mouse pad. I could see wood causing problems especially with gaming. I have had no problems with a ordinary mouse pad and if you go on on amazon you can search a a specific size to meet your required measurements.
