Hey guys. I'm looking for a GPU for my gaming PC. My specs are:
Mobo: MSI H81-P33
CPU: Intel Core i3-4150
RAM: 8GB 1600Mhz
PSU: Corsair 430W (12v rail: 28A, one 6-pin connector. It's 5 years old, but works like new)
Monitor: 20" 1600x900 60Hz
I wanna play GTA V, Watch Dogs, CoD: Advanced Warfare, BF4, and Far Cry 4 preferably at high settings with a frame rate of 45 to 60 fps. I don't wanna upgrade the PSU for now.
R9 270 is at a better price-performance spot compared to GTX 750 Ti. I just don't know if its gonna be OK with my PSU and if my CPU will bottleneck it at those games. Is R9 270 a little overkill for my build?
Thanks

Solution
Your PSU is fine for either GPU. Get the R9 270. 900p or not, it will be able to keep up with newer games now and down the line, more so than the 750ti would.

So you think R9 270 is NOT an overkill for 900P? Is it going to be a good match for my CPU? I've read on some forums that i3s work better with Nvidia Cards and i5s work better with AMD cards! Is that so? Does CPU model has anything to do with GPU performance?
What about my PSU? Any comments on that?
Thanks.
