Purchase an ASUS m51bc and would like to make a minor GPU upgrade. Processor is FX 8300, 2TB hard drive at 7200 rpm, Uninterruptible Power supply, Windows 8.1, and AMD Radeon R9 255 graphics. I would like to change the GPU to an ASUS r9 270x DC 2t 2GD5 and replace the PSU with an XFX TS 550. Will these upgrades work properly together? Running 12G RAM.

Yes! It's actually a pretty powerful GPU, especially if you're willing to overclock it; however I don't have too much experience with the FX-8300, but I'm pretty sure you shouldn't face an bottlenecking
